Channel Helpers for YMIblogging

Our desire is to mobilize and involve youth from all over the world, between the ages of 14-23 years, as Channel Helpers.
What’s a Channel Helper (CH)?
- Act as a Guide for those who visit our YMIblogging.org site.
- The CH could also answer questions and queries and invite the online user to share our site with their friends and become content contributors too
- At times, CH can also help to conduct quick survey
- CH can also offer prayer support
What a CH needs to be equipped:
- Understand the mission and objectives of YMI
- Be familiar with our devotionals and other resources currently available at our site
- Know how to promote our YMI contents
- Know that their role is to be a Guide and Befriender and not act as Counsellors.
Online users will have:
- A chat box popping up when an online user visits our YMIblogging.org site
- CH will then welcome the online visitor and begin interacting with the user
What must a person do to become a CH?
- Need to fill up a form and send it to contribute@ymiblogging.org.
- A YMI staff will contact the applicant via email/skype and provide a brief orientation to applicant.
- Applicant will undergo a 2 months on-the-job training as a CH. A “supervisor” will be assigned to log in at the same time with the CH trainee to assist and guide the trainee in responses made to an online user. Upon successful completion of the two months, the CH will be assessed whether he/she can proceed to be a CH.
- CH will then be scheduled (based on the availability of the CH) into our CH roster.
- All CH chat interactions with an online user is captured in a chat history log for tracking purposes.
