A Perfect Work

By Rohit Chacko, India

O great builder, build!
The clay is being molded
By your hands.
Builder of eternity, build!

To the world
The sculpture seems awkward
And they who pass by
Jeers at it and mocks

“What good can it become”,
Unanimously they revile.
Seldom have they known
That the master builder is at work!

They are in for a surprise
For that which is being made
Is totally out of the box
And will emerge suddenly, out of the blue.
