ODB: confession and thanksgiving
During a Sunday worship service, our congregation said this prayer of confession in unison: “Gracious God, like many believers before us, we complain when things do not go our way. We want abundance of everything rather than what is sufficient to sustain us. We would rather be elsewhere than where we are at the moment. [...]

The Ironman Triathlon consists of a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride, and a 26.2-mile run. It is not an easy feat for anyone to accomplish. But Dick Hoyt participated in the race and completed it with his physically disabled son Rick. When Dick swam, he pulled Rick in a small boat. When Dick cycled, [...]
Reflections on Sabbath – the Holy Day
By Suzette, Singapore “Moses assembled the whole Israelite community and said to them, ‘These are the things the LORD has commanded you to do: For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day shall be your holy day, a Sabbath of rest to the LORD. Whoever does any work on it [...]
ODB: warning lights
I didn’t think that the hesitation in my car engine and that little yellow “check engine” light on my dashboard really needed my immediate attention. I sang it away, saying that I would get to it tomorrow. However, the next morning when I turned the key to start my car, it wouldn’t start. My first [...]

the strength of the youths in today’s society: time, lesser commitments as compared to working adults. Hence, we can make use of these advantages to venture into the areas of campus outreaches, to be a strength and a contributing factor to the growth of the church.
Do what d father bids u. live for your maker! honour those above you, dear youth….
so easily said but sometimes so hard to keep to our word. yes we should use it to advanced His kingdom but we also need to look deep into ourselves first, then look around to the areas in front of us, then further away from us. are there areas where we held ourselves back from our Father? i’m ashamed but i gotta admit that at times, i do, be it consciously or unconsciously.
His grace is sufficient for you!
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding….Prov 3:5 and following verses.
I agree but it is not easy to do that sometimes I focus on my neighborhood and never think to pull through it all for the sake of pleasing God.
Can you help me to do that?
Set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
(1 Tim 4:12b)
febry: hmm….i do that too …..sometimes….no, i do that many times….sad to say. guess we should pray about it and ask God to help us set our hearts right then practice putting God first, in thoughts and actions. maybe a lil note on the mirror would help remind us of this.
maybe use the skills that only young ppl can have… like mm… our energy, time, physical strengths – to do the things that the elderly, children, or busy adults cant do
Fellow xtian youngsters,’..remember thy Creator in d days of ur youth’ the preacher councels in Ecclesiates.now if we don’t honour God through our services to Him when is more apporpriate? My prayer’s dat God’ll give us d grace 2 honour Him wit our lives as youths & continue to older years leaving a good legacies 4 d coming generation.shalom
I guess I’ve just been rebuked. I could read&study my Bible, pray, sing hymns&listen to gospel music&messages, for hours, attend fellowship, but would not wait for youth meetings, attend choir practice,or stuff like that. I feel so impatient that its like I loose the blessings at end of it!
I definitely need a change of attitude. Right guys?
i think that right lois..
sometime i feel like u and i do that just for routine
not for God..
and i lost blessing from God..
to change my attitude i’ll share with my pastor
Febry,thanks. I’ll do same.
Febry, are you ‘febry’ because you were born in february? I was born in february. I’ld be happy,if its same with you. Cheers!!!
one thing I daily desire, that i may walk with God all the days of my life and make a change in my generation.
When you are a child you learn and when you are a youth, it’s your first opportunity to work for the Lord, please don’t miss this chance, start right and you will walk on the right road throughout your life. Sow good seed and water it everyday (study God’s word) it will one day grow to be a beautiful tree and in time delicious fruit in abundance. Let’s all witness for our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. I encourage all to talk of God’s love and praise God for all His wonderful blessings. Living a good christian life is the best best way to live life. Don’t ever get discouraged but fly like the eagles. SHINE your LIGHT whereever you are, one step at a time. GOD BLESS YOU.
LOVE, KINDNESS, MEEKNESS, FRIENDLINESS, THOUGHTFULNESS and speaking lovingly, kindly are the best gifts. APPRECIATION is also a special gift.
Thank you for including me, I feel wonderful. God bless you always.
Christian greetings,
Delysia.
the best for today’s youth to utilize his/her strength, is by recognizing the great destiny and responsibility they have. fulfilling purpose comes self-discovery. the youths are the leaders of tomorrow, they should conduct themselves without a sense of duty, knowing that God will hold us accountable to the strength, gifting and wisdom,he has given us.
