Book Review: Hudson Taylor’s Spiritual Secret

hudsonHudson Taylor’s Spiritual Secret

After reading this book, what strikes me most is Hudson Taylor’s trust in God. He let God take care of all his needs and doubts. It wasn’t just God’s Word but it was God’s presence that he spoke of. Taylor’s determination and unwillingness to give up when he suffered emotional and physical pain inspires me. I realized that Taylor wasn’t just some kind of lucky guy who didn’t die, but he was a man guided by God. Hudson Taylor was not a man who walked on his own understanding; he walked with God—every step. That was the reason for his success in preaching the Gospel. It was not his strength but God’s.

I learn that we can all serve God when we let Him guide us.
