Do you know who is Francine Rivers? She is one of my favorite Christian fiction authors. Her story is beautiful and full of wisdom, grace, and God’s honest truth.
For example:
Redeeming Love
In this story, Francine Rivers skillfully retells the biblical love story of Gomer and Hosea in a tale set against the exciting backdrop of the California Gold Rush. The heroine, Angel, is a young woman who was sold into prostitution as a child. Michael Hosea is a godly man sent into Angel’s life to draw her into the Savior’s redeeming love.
As one reviewer noted, “It has romance, suspense, drama, and God’s truth all rolled up into one superb story.”
And The Shofar Blew
In this captivating story with believable characters, we follow the tale of a small church that, in its dying hours, brings in a new pastor and his family. Soon, the congregation is growing and things are looking great—from the outside. From the inside, however, from the eyes of the pastor’s wife and son and his elders, the problems are growing in proportion to the church’s “success.” A thought provoking and insightful take on the challenge facing many churches today.
